4 DAY/3 NIGHTS: KORČULA, MLJET & ELAPHITE ISLANDS
Experience the Southern Dalmatian islands waking up at a different island each day. Spend a day more on Elaphite islands so that you can fully enjoy your holiday. Departing from Dubrovnik we visit Korčula, Mljet and Sipan, Lopud and Kolocep (Elaphite islands) before returning to Dubrovnik on Day 4. The itinerary is flexible based on what you would like to see and do.
Depart from Dubrovnik at approx. 12:00. We head to Korcula island. Explore the islands rich history, enjoy local wines and gastronomic specialities Korčula is famous for. Visit Korcula town, the birthplace of Marco Polo, explore the medieval town filled with history and beauty, visit the Cathedral, city museum and house of Marco Polo. Have lunch on the island and explore the local souvenir shops for a special keepsake. We spend the night in Korčula and the following morning head to Mljet island.
Mljet is often described as paradise. It is a perfect place for lovers of unspoiled nature who enjoy listening to the sounds of crickets and the sea. You can explore Mljet island and the National Park at your leisure. If you wish you can go kayaking, bushwalking or hire bicycles to explore the national park and visit inland lakes. Benedictine monastery with the Church of Saint Mary is situated on the Isle of Saint Mary on the Great Lake and it's definitely worth visiting. You can visit the small fishing village of Pomena where you can enjoy lunch at a seafront restaurant. We spend the night on Mljet before heading to Sipan.
We head to Sipan, the largest of the Elaphite islands where you can visit the small village of Sudurad and Skocibuha castle. Sipan, with a long history and many stories and legends and a rich vegetation. We spend the night in Sipanska Luka, a small harbour and a fishing village.
We head to Kolocep and Lopud; quiet, peaceful and entirely car-free islands. Our first stop is Lopud island; the beach of Sunj and then the town of Lopud. We head onto the island of Kolocep where we stop at the blue cave. You can go swimming into the cave. We can stop at quieter bays for you to go snorkelling. We head to Dubrovnik. Disembark by 18:00.
